We have integrated the Quick Announcement Bar App with our translation App called Translate My Store. With this feature, you can translate the text on the bar into different languages that your website supports.
Some merchants are not sure whether they should translate the bar into other languages OR create multiple bars for different geo locations. Here are some examples to explain the different use cases that these two features serve.
Use Case #1:
If you want to present the same content on the bar for all your website visitors regardless of their geo locations.
Feature to Use:
You can use the translation feature to translate the text on the bar into the languages that you want to support. Please take a look at the tutorial video below.
Use Case #2:
If you have different shipping offers for different geo locations, for example:
- offer "Get 10% OFF for orders over $50" for customers from the U.S.
- offer "Get 10% OFF for orders over $100" for customers from Mexico.
Feature to Use:
You should NOT use translation feature in this case. You should create two bars:
- Bar A: use English text "Get 10% OFF for orders over $50", and set the geo location of the bar to "United States".
- Bar B: use Spanish text "Obtenga 10% de descuento para pedidos superiores a $100", and set the geo location of bar to "Mexico".
Please watch our video tutorial on how to use the Geo Targeting feature.
